Lexi had a food intolerence and used to scratch, scratch and scratch but since changing her food to the brand mentioned in Diet Section, she has been fine ever since. Other than this, touch wood, nothing else :D :D xx

When we first brought Holly home she had really dry, skin that flaked everywhere. The vet gave us some mild medicated shampoo and and she is fine now . It was some kind of dandruff.

:D See, even doggies can get dandruff! (dont ever use Head and Shoulders anyone - it dries and strips the hair) xxxxxxxxxxxx

Question.........is it true that I should put sun cream on Diesels ears cos hes white? Or will he be OK cos they flop down and are furry? I know white cats and pointy-eared white dogs should use it, but not sure about Diesel? And if so, human sun cream or special doggy one?

Yes. Put suncream on his ears if he's going to be out for a long time. I also put suncream on raven's parting down her back and on the skin that shows on her tail. White dog's (and probably the light golden ones too) burn in the sun really easily. Last summer wicket burned his back but only at the white bit. The black bit was fine (I don't know why).

You can buy grooming sprays that have the sun cream in them but last year i just used childrens sun screen on wicket's back and it helped. Raven will be getting the grooming stuff because i don't want to ruin her coat any more than i already have!
