Despite the terrible weather we took our little pooches to Margam Park today for the remainder of the Country Show which started on Saturday.
There was an Open Dog Show on Saturday but as it was piddling down, I decided to go shopping instead and stay safe and dry at Asdas :-D
Today (Monday) was the day of the Companion Dog Show and as I'd never been to any kind of dog show before I had no idea of what to expect but had been told that it was all just for fun and not a serious show. Both Benji and Coco were clean as we pulled up into a wet muddy field :? As you can imagine, they didn't stay clean for long but what did it matter, all the dogs would have the same problem yeah ?? lol not at all...
When we got to the show area there were loads of muddy dogs... great, we'd fit right in. Then as the time came for the judging a few nice sparkly clean dogs turned up in pushchairs, carry crates and in the back of nice clean cars. These dogs weren't allowed to walk in the mud and were carried around the ring. Hardly fair that they should win without showing their movement when walking, surely it all counts ?? :|

One good thing though, my little Benji was so well behaved and even though he was upto his armpits in mud the judge did give some really good comments. Poor little Coco was very nervous, not like her at all, she enjoyed the rest of the day though... especially the puddles :-o

Sounds like you had a really busy day.

I should imagine that Coco & Ben really enjoyed getting mucky.

Ben showed his true side,
by being the perfect little man.

Considering it was Coco's first time,
she did really well,
especially when the first time can be such a frightening experience.

At the end of the day,
you took the best lhasa's home.

They will always be Winners and Champions in your eyes.

Very true !

It hasn't put me off at all and at least when we go next, we'll be a little more prepared and if it's wet and muddy again, well their feet won't be touching the floor either lol or at least not until after and then they can roll around and get as stinking as they like :-D

Dave's gone all competitive now lol, he's going shopping later on to buy some more brushes and stuff :? I'm sure he forgets sometimes that it's me that does all the bathing and grooming... the hard work. All he'll be doing is walking around with a lovely lhasa lol

Please look in the classifieds section.

As I know that you can spend a fortune on grooming apparel,
which necessarily are not suitable for your needs.
