Who does Puppy Contracts

How many of you do puppy contracts and what do you put in them ????:?

I do.

They agree that they are not acting for any other person and that they do not intend to pass on the pup to anyone else. That they will contact me should they have any problems. That the endorsements have been explained and they understand them. That they have seen Eye Certificates. That grooming and general health care has been explained. That they have been given Kc Reg documents, pedigree and Care and Information Folder.

I confirm that the pup has been regularly wormed and de-flead, it has been bred and raised by me and that I have undertaken all KC/BVA health test as recommeded, and reared them to the best of my ability. That the pup is sold after a vet health check and sold in good faith, there is no life time guarantee to their health.

We both sign and have a copy. Of course this is not fool proof but I feel it does set out my stall that I take the placing of a puppy in their care very seriously. I have found most people welcome this approach. If anyone queries the endorsements, and after discussion remain unhappy, I do not sell them a puppy. Simple as.
