I've noticed that Raven and Wicket haven't been eating much of their food the past couple of days. I was thinking it might be the heat that's putting them off their normal dried food so I was wondering if anyone feeds their dogs anything different in the summer? I know this sounds bonkers but i was thinking of making tuna pasta or something for them. Something i can chill before i give them so that its refreshing for them. (I made my ratties pasta, cherry tomatoes and cheese yesterday as a wee treat for them but rats will eat ANYTHING!!!)

Any other things I could feed them in the summer as a wee change

Has anyoine else's pooches went off their food in the heat? Or are my dogs the only bonkers ones?

 you do make me laugh! There is'nt anything wrong with your two whaysoever :-D Mine do not seem to eat much of their dried food when it's warm - they would rather have water but they adore pasta and Ive done the same - made a Tuna Pasta using the tuna that is in sunflower oil and used the oil too. I also put garlic in as they adore garlic and I do exactly the same with chicken with the pasta. The oil from the tin of tuna is not only good for them but it prevents the pasta from drying out and sticking together too. When I use chicken, I put a skimming of virgin oil and mix through...... again preventing the pasta from clumping together.

Also try mixing some browned lamb's mince with the pasta Cook in a little water rather than oil and mix the whole lot through with the pasta - the flavoured water from the mince will flavour the pasta too and also, Lambs mince is lower in protein than beef mince. Don't over cook the mince because it makes it harder to digest.

Hope this helps xxxxxxxxxxxx

i made them tuna pasta with parsely (couldn't find any garlic in the house! .. parsley is supposed to be good for bad breath so i though it might help with the fish breath afterwards!). I also put their fit n fertile supplement into it and they just loved it! I'll need to try them on something else tonight ... maybe chicken pasta.

Yes Parsley is good and it works to take away the smell of garlic on the breath if chewed fresh xxxxxx
