For those who band their Lhasa's hair, do you single, double or triple band? And do you ever plaitt their coats?

I band in all styles (depending on time and mood  ) for the banding to last minutes after a good scratch ;) ;)

i usually band the heed and ayrse (head and bottom  ) keeps the back end free for any stickage ;) and i normally put in two bands at there head to keep hair out of theyre face so they dont end up eating it and so i can see theyre gorgeous faces, when miss emerald had her puppies i did section her coat and then put these into plats, so much easier to keep tangle free xx

Banding is another thing I've been told to stop doing :(

Raven's fringe was banded right back into her coat becuase she like the taste of it but the bands are breaking her hair so now she gets gel in her hair instead. Good old shockwaves ultra strong!!! The problem with that is dirt tends to stick to the gel and she looks minging, especially when you combine it with the fact that her coat looks dirty because it has been oiled. The other disgusting this is that when you bath her, it feels like you're washing snot out of her hair!!!
