Has anyone's Apso/s experienced the reverse sneeze (also known as puffs).
Bruce used to do this but very rarely now. It does not harm your Apso in any way but when I first witnessed this, it was quite frightening as I had no idea what it was. I now know that this can be caused by air and/or some type of alien particles becoming lodged under the palate and to alleviate this, cover the nose so that he/she will have to breath through the mouth. I noticed that this did not last for long at all but nevertheless, Im sure it is not pleasant for the pooch either let alone scare the owner who knows no different.
To me it sounds very 'raspy' and the 'snorts' are rapid but I do know that this is completely harmless. I have never heard any conflicting arguements about this so as far as I know, there is no cause for concern.
