I've often wondered what it is about us that our Lhasas can tell in difference. For example, how do my three know its Peter and not me (without making a sound) and vice versa. What do they look for?

Ive heard that all dogs are colour blind so its not the colour of hair etc is it  or lack of

My three love all of us just as we all love them but how come when hubby and I are say, just coming down the drive and they all run to me first without me saying anything and at the same time Hubby could be actually speaking!

I find it absolutely fascinating because they also recognise me from a distance and again without me saying a word!!!

What do you all think...............love to hear your views xx

It's Caesar Milan.

Dogs smell, hear and feel vibrations way better than any human can, that's for sure. They may feel the vibration of your cars long before they can hear them coming up the road. My dogs hear my car a mile away. My daughter says they start barking a few minutes before I pull into the driveway. I think they hear or feal my car coming into the neighborhood.

Sounds to me like your doggies favor you over the hubby, Lia. That's why you get the first warmest welcome.

Hi folks ... maybe we could ask him:

OK, the community forum bit isn't working yet, but once it's up and running we could ask! (although i'd be skeptical whether it would actually be him answering!)

Yes I often wondered this too. Ive tried this before but it asked some personal details that I was a little cautious over giving - not sure if its safe to leave these details.............perhaps Anj could tell us better on this one.

Oh and on the link it says CESAR and not CAESAR! Now Im not which it should be ???? Unless there is a logical reason for this. :-D xxxxxxxxxx (dont forget everyone that we do have a section seperately on this guy) :-D xxxxxx
