Sorry that I have been MIA the last couple of days but work has been busy and I"ve had to work during work. Home has busy sense the family has left. Tonight should be better and I will have more time to talk.

Well took Bailey and Henry to the vets yesterday. Henry went for his check up and next shots. He was fine and is up to 8.4 lbs and he is only 14 weeks.

Bailey on the other hand did not fair so well. bailey went to get her knees looked at. I wanted to get them checked just to be safe after that wacko. My vet did not think that she would find anything but we were both wrong. bailey's knees went out easy and then had to be put back into place. My vet gave them a grade 2, not bad and she should live a normal life. But after learning this I made the decision to pull her from my program, I can't breed her now knowing what I know now.
I called my sister, she was going to take Hernry. She oringialy wanted Bailey a couple of years ago. I offered Baiely to her and told her too make her own mind as to who she really wanted. She called me back last night. They are going to take Bailey, they will be up next weekend to get her. My sister will get her fixed and possibly train her for obedence. They just really like her personality.

So Hernry is back looking for a home. I'm not worried. He will find a home.

I have an appointment for Libby and Indy on the 6th. I'm not all that worried about these 2, but have contacted Libby's breeder to check on Libby's mom and dad, Indy is out of my friends line that she has had for 10 yrs without problems. My other 3 dogs are out of my firneds line or is Libby's sister, so not so worried about them either. but all will be checked out in the next couple of months.

I will be calling my vets this morning to get Bailey's record copied for my sister to take with them next week.

Just wanted to update everyone.

Oh. Thats not so good hun.
But you sound chirpy enough and obviously you know Bailey is gonna have a happy life no matter what.
Its the complications involved with breeding etc though isnt it and youre such a responsible breeder for acting on this.
Aw little Henry...well not so little is he? Ha ha what a whopper!!! I am sure he too will find a loving home!
Thanks for the update xxxxxx

Hi Bridget

Thanks for the update and I wouldnt worry about Baily too much. Grade 2 is not so bad and at the end of the day, she will have a super life with your sister and its this that counts more than anything.

You did the right thing in pulling her out of your programme - very sensible.

Henry is quite big now is'nt he lol lol and Im sure you will find the 'right' people for him to go live with. As you have said before, there's no rush and the perfect people will come along when the time is right.

I did laugh when you called this other person a wacko!!! lol lol lol lol Perfect description lol lol

Best wishes Bridget xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Yes Bailey will be great at my sisters. She wants a snuggle bug dog and that is what Bailey can be.
Times when you have to make decisions like this are hard. I would have no problems keeping Bailey at house had my sister not wanted to take her. I love her all the same. This is for the best as she had 2 very long (3day) labors and so she just was not ment to be a mom.
Wacko is a good name. I think that she sent someone to my site and then the emailed me looking for a show/breeding puppy. They breed Goldens, not sure what was up with that. I told them that I don't sell show puppies normally but that they were welcome to be put on my list for the next litter and they could make that decision as to if they cut the mustered as a show puppy. Did not hear back. Wonder if that was what they were thinking that they might hear....

Yes it would be a difficult decision for you Bridget but to be honest, you have done what you feel is right for Bailey and you can relax and rest now knowing that she will be loved and cared for in the best way possible.

And as for this wacko sending someone to your site.................let it ride - you have'nt done anything wrong!!! This wacko has most certainly got a few screws loose and wouldnt understand the meaning of true and honest breeding even is she sat there and watched you breed for a year! This sort of person would still find something to moan about - she is obviously a very sad person who leads a very sad life!!! You have better things to do with your time. Love Lia xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

So True....Either way I will continue doing what I'm doing.

I forgot to mention that I will be taking pick of any females born to Libby and Indy for my house. I just can't seem to get away from having a puppy of my own in the house. This is one litter I can't wait to be born. Colors......could be any...hoping for a black and red.

Don't know yet. We are waiting on a tie. We are in heat now. My guess Lexi and Libby could be due the same time.
I have no idea the colors I might get with Libby and Indy the combo ...there are red, black, gray, parti, golden, grizzle on both sides.

Sounds pretty!!! Flower has a chocolate nose.

Sorry to hear about Bailey's Knee. Our Maltese Jaxson has the knee thing, but I don't know the grade. The vet did however warn us that he was overweight and it could cause problems in his future with his knee, so he is currently on a diet.

So what do you do to take Bailey out of the mix? Neuter him right away? Just make sure he doesn't get overweight like Jaxson has.

Yes Bailey will go to live with my sister now not Henry. She will get Bailey fixed when they get her to WV. She will need to watch her weight but right now has no problems there. She is pretty hyper and just what my sister and her kids are looking for. they will have to check her potty training as I have accidents in my house and not sure who is the one that does them. She knows this and will watch and work with her on this area. She agrees she's not ready for a second puppy in her house right now.

10 to 11 hours. My sister will be driving up one day, staying here one day and driving back home the next. Just the way I like it. Get to see them, but not long enough to get pissed about anything before they leave again.

Try it with 3 kids 5-7, husband and 5 month old puppy. They don't mind doing it. As they get to see us and then say they went some place on their vacation.
