Yes sweat Noggy...But she is doing better. I've started to crate her with Hobo when I'm not home or he is in his crate. She is starting to go to the crate when he does. This seems to be working right now. But you can't stay mad with her face....

I hate when they have to go, yet life gets so much less complicated. They keep you busy that's for sure. I had a hard time parting with Flowers siblings in January. I only hear about two of them still. I have no idea where the others are. I can only pray they found good homes.
Hugs & kisses from us to them. I'll pray they get happy homes.

I agree but I know its going to be damn hard to let go. MIne will stay until they are 10 weeks so all those weeks you play socialise with them and you get to know each one and they you.....................and then the time arrives ...............dreading it :(

The first 2 little ones left this weekend. Both families were so happy to get them and take them home. I have 4 more leaving in the next week to 10 days and Henry is still looking for his special home. Not in any hurry to have him leave. I could keep him with no problems.
All the puppies but one are going to families with other dogs some with lhasas but a couple with big labs. I love that they are no going to be only dogs, they really need to as pairs so they have someone to play with.

Awww Im so pleased Bridget that they are all going to secure and loving homes - thats peace of mind too. I wish I could take Henry myself but at the moment, Ive to concentrate on Lexi but there will be the right person/home out there for him Im sure of it even though he already has a perfect home as it is. xxxxxxxxxxxx

Yes Henry is such a goof ball. He knows his name and will come when called. Comings running head flopping and giving kisses. This group is really smart. The past 2 night nites no poo in the pen and all have gone outside to potty once out, some will go back and find there spot in the computer room but most of going outside. They still put themselves to bed.
We are working on crate training Willy for his mom, they would like him use to sleeping alone. He's the one going to a home with no other dogs. He did great last night alone. His sister Miaja on the other hand is becoming a diva and wants out now and let you know it, but this is okay her mom wants a diva dog.

I'm sad to see them go but know that they have good home and loving families. I know that they are not mine so this helps. I keep this mind set, I enjoy them for the time I have them, make them into the best puppies I would want if I was getting a new puppy and hope for the best that I picked great parents for them.
I love hearing from the new families. Monkey is doing great with her new big brother Oscar, the family loves her to death and she got a good vet exam yesterday. This all make me a very happy person.

I too would want to hear back from new owners and I would become very agitated, fidgety and upset if this didnt happen which would then make me pick up the telephone and ring myself. I would never settle if I didnt get any feedback. xxxxxxxxxxxx

You said it perfectly. You have to keep that mindset. Logically it would be crazy for me to keep any of my foster pets. I already have 7 cats, 5 dogs and 7 turtles. And when I have a litter of kittens or puppies the house is very crowded. So letting them go is not as difficult as people think. I only kept Flower because she was special and I couldn't imagine letting her go. I thought she would need lots of medical attention. She proved me wrong.

It's very hard not to keep them all but I know my limit. I've reached it for the most part. But I do have room if I do have that very special little girl born here. In the mean time I will continue to make the lives of others special with my babies.

I don't weight my puppies, only had a couple of times I wish I did, but for the most part I can see that they are gaining weight and don't worry about. As far as cords go as long as you don't get the skin you are fine. Long can be cut later or mom will take care of it.
I have found that flour works great to stop bleeding on the cords. I keep it near by and put a pinch on the cord and hold it, stopes the bleeding real quick.
Remember to read, read and then read some more and ask questions. I learn something at most every birth.

Flour!!! Ordinary flour!! Well, Ive plenty of this in my kitchen    better take a bucket full up with me ;) ;) ;) I can just see me covered in the stuff from neck to foot in a panic   So if I leave the cord about 2 inches then this should be ok, yes? xx

Yes I use normal everyday flour. IF you can leave that much great but I'm luckyif I get a 1/2 inch if mom gets hold of it. ....Again I'm not an expert. This is just what I do and it seems to work for us.
I keep a small bowl near where I'm set up to deliver the puppies. I can just see you covered in flour....

Just take a deep breath and take a pinch and then pinch it on the cord, if you need more do it a couple of times. Workes great.

You will do fine. After the first puppy you will feel better. Have a friend over if you know someone that's been through this. We are all here to help you. I'd tell you to call me but the bill would be very high and I'd want a puppy, call someone from here that can talk you through it if you need.
