STICKY STOOLS?!?

Well, Im not sure whether Diesel has been at Gucci's puppy food or not, but earlier this evening he had a rather nasty pooh incident...
He went outside to do his business, and took longer than normal. Stewart went out to check, and called me to say Diesel was straining.
I went out and tried rubbing his back end to help...but he had some stuck. Nothing would make it budge. Poor Diesel.
I ran him a bowl of warm water with doggy shampoo in it...and, using a comb for help, managed to get the worst of it off.
He didnt enjoy that one little bit :cry:
I then ran him a nice bubbly bath and cleaned him up. I hope his next one is OK...

Mmmm, any change Nancy to his normal intake of food can change his stools - maybe it was the puppy food, not sure ;) , but, if you think he has not cleared himself in his anal passage, you could help him by squeezing either side of his anal gland to release any stool that may be left in there. Not nice :o but needs to be done to make sure ................thats if you have'nt already done this of course :lol: :lol: xx

Anyway, Ive just braved the winds and taken him down the common and gave him a good run and he went to toilet normally so Im hoping it was a one-off xxx

How often do your pooches pass their motion? Mine only go once and sometimes twice and that is it! This has changed for the better since being on Burns and their faeces is healthy. xx

Gucci is about a hundred times a day on the lounge floor...........

The funniest was the other night when he squatted and me, in my wisdom, scooped him up going "Pooh-poohs outside Gucci" and not only did he immediately wee on me, as I jumped to dodge the wee on the floor (barefoot you see) he then followed through with a pooh.....it was like salami city in my lounge HAHAHAHAHAHA the kids were wetting themselves laughing at the sight of me, puppy inhand, jumping and hopping to avoid the carnage!!!!!!!!

Absolutely brilliant! At least you can laugh about it! He'll get there eventually ... it just takes some time and patience. You did the right thing ... it's just that poor Gucci couldn't hold on any longer! I don't know who I would've told off first, Gucci or your kids for laughing!!!
