I am so proud of Raven. I think i've mentioned on here that she's only just started getting interested in her toys in the past couple of weks where before she would just sit herself or play with wicket. She's just realised that it's fun to squeak toys and rag them about. Well, last night I was playing with wicket while she just sat in her bed and watched. I was throwing his toy and he was retrieving it and dropping it at my feet. He's being doing that since he was about 6 months and he loves it. He's very selective and if he is playing with one toy then he isn't interested in any other (even one which looks exactly the same). Well, I picked up a doubler toy and threw it (a large squeaky bone that says ho ho ho on it) and Wick realised it wasn't the one he was playig with so I threw the proper toy and he chased it. I looked down at my feet and raven was sitting holding the "dummy" toy waiting for me to take it and throw it!
I've never been so proud in my life! I never thought Raven would play fetch nd she did it 5 or 6 times before she got bored and went back to bed. It took ages to teach wick to bring back a toy and she was just starting to chase them but she'd never picked up a toy (especially one so big). And she'd never chased a toy when it went out of sight. I can't believe she just watched him and learned. I thought she was going to be a "dumb blonde" of a dog (like me!) but she really astounded me last night!
