Is it just Wicket, or is it hard to sneak a wormer tablet past a lhasa? It took me about an hour and a half yesterday to get him to swallow 1 drontal tablet, and after it his face was soaking with foam from him trying to spit it out and he was in a huff with me. I tried hiding it in his food (actually pushing it inside pieces of meat) and the wee bam left the pieces at the bottom of the bowl once he'd eaten all the meat (even the meat the was wrapped round them). I tried the old push it to the back of their throat so they can't get it back up, but he managed it anyway. By the end I was covered in slevers and he just about got the full tablet into him. What a nightmare!!!
I tried raven on the panacur solution again. She wasn't sick this time so here's hoping I've found a wormer that's a keeper (especially since I bought a 100ml bottle and she only gets 5ml 4 times a year!). When i gave her the liquid she spat it out and shook her head and cover me, chris, wicket and most of the kitchen (which was quite impressive since I only gave her 2.5ml at the time!).
My dogs are nightmares at giving tablets. That's how you can tell if one of them are really sick - they let me give them their medicine!
