Have you encountered problems with your bitch's heat cycle? Honey's was very irregular and in the end contracted Pyometra and had to be spade. Lexi 's has been spot on and is due to have her next season mid June. Lia xxx

My girl has always been regular too, she first came into season at 8 months and so far we have had no problems.

Raven's firs season was a false start ... at 16 weeks! I nearly had a fit when i seen it! It only lasted for about 2 days and then she didn't go into her season proper til 8 months. If she's 6 months regular then I'm expecting her next season August/september time ... just in time for her next champ shows .. oh goodie!

My girls all came into season for the first time about 8 months they haave had irregular seasons all of them and tend to come in together also my friend/neighbour her 3 usually come in the same time as mine, they have had 8 months in between 6, months 8 months Candy our oldest was always regular until Jodie came then things went haywire now they come in when they like but are ALWAYS late when i have wanted to mate them or early when i have entered a Champ show with them. We seemed to be waiting for ages for Jodie to come into season and as i wanted to mate her this time as she had a litter when she was 2 year old and she's now 6 i wanted another litter of beardies before she was too old if she doesn't take this time i willonly try once more then thats it. She was mated 4 weeks ago so should know in about 1-2 weeks. My friend the owner of the stud dog came to visit tonight and she seems to think that she is pregnant, She's more excited than me........Her dog produces some lovely pups and i am waiting to see BUT i am seriously thinking about keeping one but don't tell hubby.... i already have 5 people VERY interested well 4 (and ME) so the one that i like will never have anyone to buy her or thats what i will tell hubby, thats why i had to get Ebony before Jodie has a litter its easier to keep one that i bred after i bought...... there is a method in my madness

love Pauline

A lot of people get confused when their girls are due to come into season after having puppies.

Female's should come into season six months after their last season,
not six months after birth of puppies.

This is only a general guide line,
as all females have different heat cycles.
