Lhasa Apso Mums Cleaning Up

Whilst we all turn our noise's and screw our faces up at the thought of apso's eating feaces. :o :o It is totally acceptable for a Lhasa Apso mother to clean and eat the feaces of her young... :roll: :roll: A lhasa apso mother will do this through the entire raising process.... Do you not think that maybe puppies see their mother doing this and think that this behaviour is ok......

Although not acceptable by us that own apso's, yet it is acceptable by those of us that breed and rear them.
Now when you first notice your pups coping their mother, that is the time to teach them it is wrong... Remove feaces before mother or pup can get to it....Can not wait to hear your views on this one.... :lol: :lol: Maddie XXX

I'm sure I read in a puppy book that that's why young pups do it and why particularly young bitches do it becasue they're copying their mum.

Its kinda sweet really, the love thats there to do it......I find it all very endearing to see a mum with her young....could watch the animal shows on TV all day when they show these!! ;) When Diesel ate his pooh, Stewart went to stop him, and he really snapped at Stewart, as if he was being Food Territorial, so Im convinced in Diesels case it was pure starvation that made him eat his. Bless him.
