Does everyone manage to trim back the hairs between the pads? How regularly do you do this? I do my 3's once a month. Lia xx

I find I need to cut the hair between their feet every two weeks or so. I usually just cut them but I've just bought a trimmer so I'll see how that works out.

I've never a trimmer but I have a pair of special small scissors that seem to do the job fine................anyway, they all have tickly pads

Oh god, the first time I try to trim them will be fun!!! It'll be a two man job. I'll get my man to hold them down and I'll attack with the trimmer!!!

:) :) Don't know about you Pamela but I have started to trim the pads before I bath them because I find the hair is not as soft as it is after the bath and is much easier to grab hold of with the scissors but I trim round the paws after I have dried them xxxx

Well, Diesel's groomer says it is REALLY important to keep the pads clear, as we must remember that the hair inbetween the pads does grow at the same rate as the rest of their hair, and that it does get clogged and matted, which does cause discomfort to the Lhasas.....she also told me it is unsuitable to use clippers/trimmers on their pads as it doesnt do the job properly. She got me some really good scissors...they are long and pointy with very sharp ends that poke in between the pads nicely!!! :D As Pamela said, I find it easier to do Diesel's when he is needing a bath, as the hair isnt so flyaway! :)
