Any of you that are going to the Blackpool Champ Show, have you received your entry passes or anything yet?

I got my passes for border union - lost them - found them - lost them again. I was searching like a maddy yesterday and i've finally found them again, so they've been put away in a safe place til then.

On the subject of border union, how easy is it to get to? Chris has just been told that he isn't getting his day off for it (which he booked months in advance :evil: ) so I'm going to have to either drive myself or get someone else to go with me so they can drive there and i can calm my nerves with a few wee drinks before i need to go in the ring (lhasas are on at 9am so i might need to just keep drinking from the night before because its a bit anti-social to start drinking at 8 in the morning!).

Luckily i am getting a lift from some pastoral friends and they are even leaving early as they don't start till 9:30 am whereas we are in at 9:00 am so i could drink all night if i wanted :lol: :lol: mind you i won't need to if the grass is uneven i will look as if i had been drinking the way i walk. :mrgreen: :mrgreen: :mrgreen: Do you think i would look like him?????

its pretty easy and well sign posted, im stayin over on the friday night, if you want i could call the b and b bloke and see if you and raven can "bunk" in with me saphire and flynn (im sure he said i had a doble room)?
ill need to rade oot my old map aswell (just to be sure) as those bloomin sat navs can be a waste of space at times hehehehe :lol: xxx

Thanks! I'll let you know by the end of the weekend if I need to take you up on the offer. Hopefully I can find someone to go with me so I don't have to impose on you and your kids!

Chris's work are a nightmare. They've told him he can't get the time off for the blackpool champ show, but we've already booked a hotel for a wee break from the thursday to the saturday so we don't know what we're going to do (except raven and I will definitely be there!). They've left it so late to tell him that no, he can't get the time off that I reckon he should pull a sickie!

I think that he should show them the receipt for the room and tell them that if he can't have the time off they can jolly well pay for the inconvienience and for the room

sorry folks forgot to take pics while at the blackpool show :( but i was just so shocked and over the moon cos flynn won another 1st :D i was almost crying (didnt though) but i felt the tears and thought oh pamela dinna you dare in front of all these folks watching, there was some really lovely dogs there aswell, xx

thanks hunny, i was SO SO pleased when i seen this, i had to read it a few times over for it to sink in, "stunning profile" "excellent quality" "strong topline"
im so proud of flynn and so chuffed the breeder let me have him, i just wish i had the time to show him that bit more
im still waiting to see the border union lhasa write ups, do you know if theyre out yet?
flynn also got a good write up for skc in may, fingers crossed that other judges will think the same of him, he's my wee flynny the ninny and a right wee poser hehehehehe

I looked for Shadows write up at Border Union and its not there yet its so frustrating when they do really well and you wait for ever for the write up if its printed at all there are only 2 of Shadows printed and he's done so well, 2 write ups in 6 months!!!!!!! i thought that the KC had requested all judges to do a write up for every show or am i mistaken?

:-D Super write up Pamela - no wonder you are so proud!!! Im not an expert by any stretch of the imagination but I did say right from the off that you had a damn good Apso in Flynn. I just knew there was something about him and boy, has he proved his metal. Brilliant :-D :-D xx

he's only been to 3 champ shows so far and has won 3 1st's and a 2nd already, and ive had 2 good write ups from both judges (skc and blackpool) just waiting for border union write up, first thing i do when the paper arives it turn straight the results page to see if its in yet, nothing so far xxx

nowt, it does mean he has qualified for crufts next year though,
it's the 3 c.c's that mean something..........your pooch is a champion

unless you have a labrador etc then your pooch needs to be a show champion and also a field or working champion before it can become a "Champion" xxx

Thanks Pamela. So 3 cc's means a champion but does 1 cc mean anything signicent (or 2 cc's) before getting to become a champion? If this makes sense :lol: Sorry for the questions but I find there is so much to learn and remember :-D xxx

course you have every chance, was that a wee hint that you might join us mad nutters who get up a really stupid hours in the moring, travel hundreds of miles, stand around for hours at a time, to show there dog in all kinds of weather, that only last a few minutes in the ring, then travel hundreds of miles home again only to do the same thing the following weekend
