mmmmmmm i find this tricky to write down cos i know what i like when i see the dogs in the ring but trying to explain it i find difficult (sorry) :? when sitting with other dog daft friends i can chat away aboot them no problem but when it comes to putting pen to paper (finger to laptop) i find more tricky,
think i would need to write it down on draft paper first incase i start rambling on and on (ooooops do that already :lol: ) xx

Just thinking...it would be quite interesting if we all measured our Lhasas height and length to compare their sizes?

I measured Raven at the shoulders a lot when she was a pup (just to make sure she was big enough to show). It turns out measuring a lhasa is easier said that done! They are so nosey, they want to know what your doing!

I think it's a good idea! It just might take a few attempts to get the measurement. I know Raven is just over 9 inches at the shoulders, and wicket is 11 and a half (if I remember correctly).

I have no idea how long they are. How would we measure it? Base of neck to tail? Shoulders to tail? Distance between legs?

Well I would say nose to tail, but thats cos Im used to measuring tortoises!!!!!!!!!!

Im chuckling away here...Stewarts uncle Jimmy has just turned up to do the garden, and asked me where the outdorr plug socket was.
I showed him...presuming it was for the lawnmower...and just took him out a cuppa, and he has his mobile phone plugged in and charging up!!!!!!!! That absolutely tickled me!!!!!!!

(Spelling is correct!) Folk fae scotland don't hiv accents, wit yae tocking aboot? I only live about 20 miles fae glesgy (from glasgow) so their accents widny (wouldn't) be broad tae (to) me!

It's amazing how each area of scotland has it's own accent and dialect! Chris grew up about 5 miles down the road from wishaw and sometimes we talk completely different languages!!!

(Do you know, it takes mare (more) thought and effort to type in a slang accent than you would imagine!!!)

Yes Bruce is the same as Wicket and Lexi is 9 1/2 inches. Honey is about 10 inches I think - will need to measure again to be sure xx

That's because you never lose an accent unless you try to! And why would you want to lose a Scottish accent??? lol!

That's the amazing thing .. we can understand almost any accent, but people really struggle with ours. The general rule in england is "posh and slow" exactly as your friend says!!! (Oh, and when we're down south Chris always says "Can I have a pint of beer, please?" and he always end up with a half pint of beer! it drives him nuts! ... i find it funny!!!)

It takes me ages to type what i want to say. Talking ... it took me ages to come up with tocking for that. wisnae, aye, naw etc. was fine but actually words is hard. (my spellings bad enough at the best of times!)

Thomas, as I said, comes from Glasgow and has a broad accent.
Speaking to him last night I noticed...his accent has half gone!
Im being serious...he hasnt spoke for four weeks, and now his voice is higher pitched and the accent is nowhere near like it was before his accident......

it might be coz of what has happened, ive read in magazines stories etc of folks being in commas and when they come round they can speak forign really fluent, even though before they coulnt speak a word of it

Benji is 11 inches high but is in proportion. I love his tail, it's got quite a tight curl and has a kink on the end.
